The 2014 VAD Mini-Conference will be held at the Chapel Hall on the VSDB-Staunton campus on May 17, 2014 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (one day).  Plan to attend Annual Membership Meeting, Exhibits, & Workshops.



  • Topic: SSI & SSDI Benefits & How to avoid an overpayment of benefits
    Presentor: Julie Triplett with the Disability Law Center of VA

  • Topic: Smart Phones and Apps
    Presentors: Paul Pryor and Feta Fernsler

Silent Auction:

  • Silent Auction will be held at the VAD Mini-Conference.  Plan to bring extra money with you!

Families to Families, a group for families with young deaf and hard of hearing children in the Hampton Roads area, will meet on the 4th Saturday of the months January - April, 2014.  Our next gathering is January 25th, 10 AM - 12 noon, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 7400 Hampton Blvd., Norfolk, VA, 23505.  Bring your entire family and join in activities for the whole family.  Make new friends and get to know deaf adults, children and their families in an environment that is accessible to both spoken and signed languages.
